Aquif Vora

Hi, my name is Aquif Vora. I was born and raised in Dharavi, right in the heart of Mumbai. I completed my Bachelor’s in Business Studies from Mumbai University and currently work in a call centre as a customer support executive. Alongside my job, I also work as a part-time tour guide with Be The Local Tours. This role has been a big part of my journey — it helped me fund my education and, more importantly, gave me the chance to meet amazing people from all around the world. Being a guide has taught me so much — from improving my communication and confidence to understanding different cultures and perspectives. I truly enjoy showing visitors around Dharavi and giving them a real local experience — one that’s full of stories, energy, and warmth. I feel proud and grateful to be part of Mumbai’s tourism community. For me, it’s not just about showing people places — it’s about helping them see the real spirit of Mumbai through the eyes of its people. Every tour is a new connection, a new story, and an experience that I hope my guests will always remember.
